1 new COVID-19 death, 777 new cases, 18 admissions Monday

On Monday, April 18, 2022, DHHS announced 143 new positive test results for COVID-19 for Sunday, April 17. Today’s results include 120 individuals who tested positive by PCR testing and 23 who tested positive by antigen testing. DHHS also announced 313 cases from Friday, April 15 (256 by PCR and 57 by antigen testing); and 293 cases from Saturday, April 16 (233 by PCR and 60 by antigen testing). In addition, DHHS announced a further 28 new cases from Thursday, April 14 (23 by PCR and 5 by antigen testing) to a new total of 322. Test results for previous days are still being processed and updated case numbers for previous days will be reflected on the COVID-19 interactive dashboard. There are now 2,102 current COVID-19 cases diagnosed in New Hampshire.

Several cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing studies will be incorporated in future COVID-19 updates. Of those with complete information, there are 94 people under the age of 18, and the rest are adults, with 56% being women and 44% being men. The new cases reside in Rockingham (164), Grafton (104), Hillsborough County except Manchester and Nashua (94), Strafford (82), Merrimack (66), Cheshire (36), Sullivan (31), Carroll (29 ), Belknap (28) and Coos (1) counties and in the towns of Manchester (65) and Nashua (41). The municipality of residence is being determined for 36 new cases.

DHHS has also announced an additional death related to COVID-19. We give our condolences to family and friends.

There are currently 18 inpatients in treatment for COVID-19. In New Hampshire, a total of 306,193 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed since the start of the pandemic.
