LIHU’E – The State Department of Health Kaua’i District Health Office announced on Sunday 17 new cases of COVID-19.
Sunday’s event brings the number of active cases up to 102, with four hospitalized and 11,727 cumulative cases.

State DOH case investigators generally contact positive cases within a day or two after receiving the results. In some cases, case investigators will not be able to arrive at positive cases before the end of isolation periods.
Positive cases should be immediately isolated in the home and informed of close contacts, including workplaces and schools.
