As COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the country, Long Island’s seven-day positivity rate is now 2.73% and up 2.5% as of Monday.
There were 805 recorded cases of COVID-19 in Nassau and Suffolk on Wednesday.
The average number of daily infections rose by 15% nationwide in October. The American Academy of Pediatrics said there was a more than 6% increase in child cases in the past week from the week before.
Government Kathy Hochul believes getting the injection will end the pandemic for good.
More than 109,000 doses of COVID-19 have been administered since Wednesday.
