
Apple intensifies COVID-19 protocols for WWDC 2022 participants
Apple is tightening its COVID-19 protocols for those traveling to Apple Park to personally attend WWDC 2022.
Spotted by MacRygter, the company has sent personal participants updated instructions on its safety procedures regarding COVID-19. Under the new requirements, participants must have a negative FDA-approved COVID-19 antigen test the day before the keynote. Apple now also requires participants to wear an N95 mask when indoors in Apple Park.
The new requirements have been tightened by Apple previous planwhich only required a negative COVID-19 test within three days of the event and made masks optional.
To help ensure the health of everyone in Apple Park, participants must follow Apple’s health and safety protocols, which also take into account the latest requirements and guidance from public health authorities regarding COVID-19. This includes evidence of a negative COVID-19 test no later than three days before the event. Masks are currently optional. Apple is certainly increasing its COVID-19 protocols in response to increasing cases across the United States. The company also has reintroduced its mask requirement for employees at their retail locations. However, customers are currently not required to wear a mask when visiting an Apple Store.
