Aston Martin unveils 690 hp V12 Vantage Roadster at Pebble Beach
August 20, 2022
Aston Martin prepares to usher in the last era for its Vantage sports car with a V12-powered monster. But the V12 Vantage coupe won’t be alone when it starts tearing through the streets, as Aston Martin has just unveiled this stunning drop-top version as well. Say hello to the V12 Vantage Roadster.
This special edition is limited to just 249 copies worldwide. Each will have the same 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine found in the coupé, which produces 690 horsepower. That makes this the most powerful Vantage roadster ever, Aston Martin wants to point out.
The new car’s top speed is 200 mph, and zero to 60 is handled in a spritely 3.5 seconds.

Uniqlo Summer Sale
Basics you don’t want to miss Don’t miss the Uniqlo summer sale. The whole sale is great for stocking up on the basics that Uniqlo is known for: subtle colors, classic silhouettes and an up-or-down dress.
Roberto Fedeli, Aston Martin’s Chief Technical Officer, said in a press release: “We have worked extremely hard to ensure that the V12 Vantage Roadster has the same potential and dynamics that characterize the V12 Vantage Coupé, while surpassing it in terms of of raw sensory excitement that you can only achieve with the roof down, this is a breathtaking machine made for our most enthusiastic customers.”
But, there’s more to this new Aston Martin than just its impressive engine. The power plant is coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a mechanical differential lock. There’s also the exact same suspension hardware you’ll find in its indoor sibling.
on every corner, you will find a carbon ceramic disc brake. At the front, there are two 410mm discs paired with six-piston calipers, while the rear houses a set of 360mm discs with four-piston calipers. So you don’t have to worry too much about your braking power when you step on the gas and let that engine sing.
All this mechanical power is coupled with an updated aerodynamic package that mirrors the styling you’ll find on the coupe.
The front bumper, fenders and hood are all adapted from the standard Vantage, and are now made of carbon fiber. The rear bumper is also made of composite to save weight on the Roadster.
These tweaks, coupled with the car’s new ‘widebody’ stance, mean it’s likely: the most beautiful Vantage since 1987. I mean, the color choice in these press photos is particularly beautiful, but check it out!
The designers at Aston Martin have even managed to make that 25 percent larger grille look like it belongs here, diving around the front as it curves forward. Beautiful things.
The cost of all this beauty here in the US is expected to be around $350,000
Production of the V12 Vantage Roadster will start later this year and deliveries are expected before the end of 2022. If you see one on the road after that, take a picture and let us know!
