Augustana College Announces Update on COVID-19 Indoor Athletics Event Spectator Policy

Augustana College updates its COVID-19 spectator policy for indoor sports.

With effect from Monday, February 14, the college no longer requires proof of vaccination or recent negative tests to attend athletic events held on its campus.

This update applies to remaining home basketball matches and men’s volleyball competitions.

“Face-covering is still required at all times when indoors, and spectators who are not masked will be asked to leave the game,” it said in a press release.

Framed by guidelines and protocols issued by NCAA and CCIW – together with state and local health authorities – says the college that this change will remain in force until further notice and “may be reassessed on a weekly basis thereafter.”

The college adds that “this policy can be changed based on campus, local and state guidance.”

All indoor home events will be available via livestream in the 2021-2022 season here.

Spectators at all Augustana athletics events are encouraged to adhere to the respective spectator policies of these host institutions:
