JOHNSON CITY, Tennessee (WJHL) — Ballad Health reported another drop in hospitalizations for COVID-19 on Wednesday, showing that 89% of hospitalized COVID-19 patients are unvaccinated.

This high percentage of unvaccinated patients is also reflected in ICU hospitalizations and in people who are dependent on ventilators, Ballad says.

Ninety-five percent of those receiving ICU care because of the novel coronavirus are unvaccinated and 97% of those who rely on ventilators are unvaccinated.
