Nick Chubb will be available for the Cleveland Browns this week, as the Browns star running back was activated Friday from the reserve/COVID-19 roster. Cleveland also has backup running back Demetric Felton in time for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions, another boost for the running back room.

Kareem Hunt is still in the injured reserve with a calf injury and is still expected to be out for four to six weeks (week 11 was the fourth week of his injury timeline). The Browns have Hunt, Felton and D’Ernest Johnson against a Lions defense that allows 135.7 rushing yards per game — the third most in the NFL. Chubb and Felton missed Cleveland’s loss to the New England Patriots last week, a game the Browns had just 99 rushing yards in the 45-7 outburst loss.

Chubb leads the NFL with 6.0 yards per carry, with 120 carries for 721 yards and six touchdowns. He averages 103 rushing yards per game and runs a Browns-run offense that ranks first in the NFL in rushing yards (1,541), rushing average (5.26), and rushes over 10 yards (49). The Browns are also tied for first place in hasty touchdowns (16) with Arizona and Tennessee.

Chubb is in the top 10 of the NFL in several categories. His 34 quick first downs are tied for ninth in the league, and his 22 rushes for over 10 yards are the third most in the NFL. His eight rushes for more than 20 yards are also second in the league. All of this with Chubb missing three of Cleveland’s 10 games this year.
