Cameron County on Monday reported a coronavirus-related death and 24 cases of COVID-19.
A man in the 80s from Harlingen died as a result of the virus. He was, according to the report, fully vaccinated.
Since the pandemic began, Cameron County has reported 2,228 deaths.
Of the 24 individuals who tested positive for the virus, 13 were confirmed reports based on PCR tests, eight were probable reports based on antigen tests and three were self-reported based on home tests.
