CHARLOTTE, NC (WNCN) – Carowind’s theme park reopened to season ticket holders Saturday for the first time in two years without any restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Amusement rides were officially launched at. 10 on Saturday, and this time smiles were seen on faces with them for the first time in several years.
Carowinds announced that it will no longer require masks or hold capacity restrictions in the park this season. Last season, guests had to book and were not admitted if the daily limit was reached.
The change comes after Mecklenberg County, where Carowinds sits, lifted its COVID-19 restrictions.
Tickets for Carowinds can be purchased here.
