Washington [US]Nov. 9 (ANI): Former US President Donald Trump has said Joe Biden’s administration is ineffective and that China no longer respects the US, media reports said.
President Biden had a second telephone conversation with Xi Jinping in September, where the White House clarified that the discussion “was part of the United States’ ongoing effort to responsibly manage competition between the United States and the PRC.” Fox reported. News.
The White House said after the call that “the two leaders discussed the responsibility of both countries to ensure competition does not turn into conflict,” the news channel reported.
However, Trump said he does not think the Biden administration is effective.
“I don’t think it’s a good way to express it to China. It shows such weakness. We have shown such weakness,” Fox News quoted Trump as saying.
“China respected this country when I was president. China doesn’t respect our country anymore. It’s very sad,” Fox News quoted Trump as saying.
The former president went on to say that the message was inappropriate.
Donald Trump has said he is “certainly” considering running for president in the 2024 election, but “probably” will wait until after the 2022 midterm elections to formally announce the same, local media reported.
“I’m definitely thinking about it and we’ll see. I think a lot of people will honestly be very happy with the decision and will probably announce that after the midterms,” Fox News quoted Trump as saying.
Trump called the timeline for the announcement “appropriate” and said many people are waiting for the decision.
“It doesn’t mean I’ll do it. It’s probably appropriate, but a lot of people are waiting for that decision,” Fox News quoted Trump as saying. (ANI)
