Counties with the highest COVID-19 death rate in Nevada

Vaccine proliferation in December 2020 signaled a turning point in the COVID-19 pandemic. By end of May 202140% of the US population was fully vaccinated. However, as vaccination rates faltered over the summer, there were new increases in COVID-19, including Delta in the summer of 2021, and now the Omicron variant, which includes the majority of cases in USA

Researchers around the world have reported that Omicron is more transferable than Delta, making breakthroughs and recurrent infections more likely. Early research suggests that this strain may cause less serious illness than Delta and the original virus, but health authorities have warned that an Omicron-driven increase could still increase hospital admissions and mortalityâ € ”especially in areas with fewer vaccinated populations.

The United States reached per. February 9 up to 909,599 COVID-19-related deaths and nearly 77.1 million COVID-19 cases according to Johns Hopkins University. Currently, 64.2% of the population fully vaccinatedand 42.4% have received booster doses.
