San Diego County reported 476 new cases of COVID-19 and eight more deaths on Thursday.
The latest figures bring the province’s total number of cases to 376,587, while the death toll has risen to 4,280.
Twenty more people had to be hospitalized for COVID-19, the province said Thursday, and one person had to be admitted to intensive care.
Meanwhile, through Tuesday, nearly 280,000 San Diegans had received a COVID-19 booster and 7,320 children ages 5 through 11 had received their first injection of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.
More than 900,000 American children ages 5 to 11 would have received their first COVID-19 shot, according to the White House.
The US began administering the Pfizer vaccine to children on November 3.
