BOSTON (WWLP) – Public health officials reported 7 new confirmed deaths and 2,470 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Massachusetts.

Total number of cases of COVID-19 by age group:

• 0-4 years: 906
• 5-9 years: 673
• 10-14 years: 736
• 15-19 years: 1,367
• 20-29 years: 4,685
• 30-39 years: 2,996
• 40-49 years: 2,044
• 50-59 years: 2,081

Test:

According to the Department of Public Health, 65,848 new tests were performed with a total of 43,134,001 administered molecular tests.

Antigen test: A total of 11,907 new individuals tested positive with 4,553,002 total tests reported.

The 7-day average of percent positivity is 3.89%

Admissions:

There are 343 patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19 with 37 patients admitted to intensive care units, 15 patients intubated, 201 patients reportedly fully vaccinated, and 113 patients admitted to COVID-19-related disease.
