COVID-19 cases dwindle, SC returns to in-car driving tests

COLUMBIA, SC (AP) — South Carolina officials are returning to auto-driving tests as the number of COVID-19 in the state dwindles.

From Monday, the RDW will hold walk-in exams in the morning and appointments for driving exams in the afternoon.

After the COVID-19 cases started to rise again in August, the department passed driving tests where the applicant drove the car alone, while a temporary worker scored the test from outside the vehicle.
