Easthampton COVID-19 Childhood Vaccine Clinic

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) — Pfizer vaccines are now widely available for children ages five to 11, and a number of options are coming up for getting your child’s first dose.

Easthampton High School is organizing a covid clinic for children this afternoon with the fire service.

Shots are only available to children ages 5-11 and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The clinic is after school from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

The Pfizer vaccine is two doses for children and only one-third the dose of the adult vaccine. The second dose of clinic will take place three weeks later on December 3rd at the same time and location. No insurance is required to get the injection and students from all Easthampton schools are welcome.

According to the FDA, covid cases in children ages five to 11 make up 38% of cases in people under the age of 18. In Easthampton, 21% of cases were in people under 18 in the month of October and 22% in September.

The White House says that as of Thursday, nearly one million children, ages five to 11, will have received the Covid vaccine across the country.

Although the clinic will be held in Easthampton, parents must go to the Northampton City website to register.
