Leslie Benzies, former president of Rockstar North, has revealed more about Everywhere, the upcoming open-world game he’s designing at new studio Build a Rocket Boy.
Benzies and the Build a Rocket Boy team discussed Everywhere’s ambitions as part of Gamescom 2022’s Opening Night Live show, a game described as combining gameplay, adventure, creativity and discovery in a multi-world game-like setting. experience. A mysterious trailer showed a variety of locations, each of which appeared to be from an entirely different game. Cars raced in one series, while people with guns competed in another. The only connecting factor is that all of these series have a Fortnite-esque graphical style. No release date has been announced, but Build a Rocket Boy said it hopes to ship Everywhere in 2023.
Everywhere was first announced in 2017, and Build a Rocket Boy currently has three studios working on it, located in Edinburgh, Los Angeles and Budapest. Fans have been theorizing about what Everywhere could be for years, and Build a Rocket Boy claims that some of those theories are “not far from” the truth.
