TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) – The number of hospitalized patients in Florida with COVID-19 has risen above 1,400.
According to data posted Wednesday by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 1,406 admitted patients had COVID-19, up from 1,382 on Tuesday and 1,351 on Monday.

The data also showed that 252 COVID-19 patients were in intensive care, up from 260 on Tuesday.

The number of hospital admissions has become relatively stable after huge increases in July and August and steady declines in September, October and early November. The summer wave was fueled by the highly contagious delta variant of the coronavirus.
