Many Californians worry about their missing fourth stimulus checks. Fortunately, the California Franchise Tax Board has made a few suggestions for delayed, lost, or stolen Golden State Stimulus payments.
The program allowed eligible Californians to look forward to a one-time payment of a $1,100 Golden State Stimulus check. These payments were split into several waves, with the last batch being shipped on January 11.
Unfortunately, not all eligible recipients received these payments on time. Some worry that the checks may have disappeared. AS explained the possible reasons for these delays, along with some suggestions for solving the problem.
4th Stimulus Check: Delivery Delays
According to the California Franchise Tax Board (CFTB), recipients receiving paper check payments must allow up to three weeks for delivery delays. This means that payments that should have appeared earlier this week could be delayed until February.
Keep in mind, though, that these payments are only credited to Californians who filed their tax returns last year. If they have not submitted their requirements by the October 15, 2021 deadline, eligible Californians must take advantage of the extended February 15 deadline. This may be your last chance to apply for the Golden State Stimulus checks.
Late submitters should note that they will have a different delivery schedule for the Golden State Stimulus checks if they qualify. If they file their demands sometime in February, the checks could arrive a few weeks later.

Recipients who are confident that they have submitted their claims but have not received their payments are advised to contact the TFB. They can be reached via:
- Phone (8am-5pm weekdays): 800-852-5711 or 916-845-6500 (outside the US)
- Chat (weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.): Log in to MyFTB to chat
- Mail: Franchise Tax Board, PO Box 942840, Sacramento CA 94240-0040
It is important to note that officials must verify whether the Golden State Stimulus check is an erroneous payment. This may take a few more days to process.
Recipients can help speed up the process by sending a letter explaining the issue. They must state their name and identification number (SSN or ITIN) on the letter. This letter should be mailed to: ATTN: Golden State Stimulus Fund, Franchise Tax Board, PO Box 3070, Rancho Cordova, CA 95741-3070.
