Hawaii offers extended free COVID-19 testing to O’ahu residents

HONOLULU (KHON2) – Free COVID-19 testing for Oahu residents has been extended by the city and county of Honolulu.

The city said the expansion is due to increased demand for coronavirus testing.

From Wednesday, April 20, the mobile lab will be open six days a week instead of five days at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. Testing is performed on the Diamond Head tour group area at baggage claim 31 from kl. 9 to 17. The laboratory is closed on Sundays.

Free testing continues from kl. 10.00 to kl. 13.00 in Honolulu Hale on Friday, and from kl. 10.00 to kl. 13.00 in Kapolei Hale on Wednesday.

If there is a city break, the test sites will be closed that day.

Testing was previously reduced. From April 3 to April 19, the city’s mobile laboratory at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport was open five days a week instead of seven from 7 p.m. 9 to 17.
