COVID-19 Coronavirus Update No. 367

Hillsborough County, Fla. (February 18, 2022)Hillsborough County will not offer COVID-19 vaccinations Monday, Feb. 21, due to scheduled electrical work at the West Tampa Community Resource Center. However, COVID-19 testing will continue.

Testing will be the only service available at the West Tampa Community Resource Center, 2103 N. Rome Ave., Tampa, FL 33607, from 6 p.m. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, February 21st. Daily COVID-19 vaccinations resume on Tuesday, at February 22nd.

The West Tampa Community Resource Center is a walk-up site and is the only county-sponsored site that regularly offers both testing and vaccination services.

Hillsborough County has three additional COVID-19 test sites open daily:

  • Hillsborough Community College Brandon Campus, 10451 Nancy Watkins Dr., Tampa, FL 33619, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a drive-thru COVID-19 test site. The entrance is from East Columbus Drive.

  • Progress Village Park, 8701 Progress Blvd., Tampa, FL 33619, is open daily from 7 p.m. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Adventure Island Resort, 10001 N. McKinley Dr., Tampa, FL 33612, is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Sunday, February 20, when it will close permanently. It’s a drive-thru COVID-19 test site.

All COVID-19 tests are free and do not require an appointment.

For all benefits, proof of health insurance is recommended and should be presented at the time of the visit. People without health insurance will still be tested or vaccinated for free.
