If you have a specific job, you might see a check for $500 or $1,000 in December

Specific employees can expect a check worth $500 to $1,000 before the holidays.

The bonus incentive checks go to residents in 8 different states thanks to their local governments.

Many states now have programs in place to help still struggling Americans who have not recovered from the pandemic.

More than 400,000 families have already received state incentive checks, with many more waiting.

Families are also waiting for their final payment of the child tax credit, which will take place on December 15.

The following states offer eligible residents a chance to win $500 to $1,000 dollars in incentive money

Arizona has a return to work program that will pay between $1,000 and $2,000 dollars.

Those eligible must have returned to work and worked for 8 weeks between May 13 and September 6 to receive the $2,000.

Bonuses are awarded to people who are no longer unemployed and meet the requirements set by their employer.

Those who return to work part-time are eligible for $1,000.

At the moment, all payments to people are made via direct deposit.

California is now sending their second round of Golden State Stimulus checks.

Half of all eligible residents have already received it. About 9 million people are eligible for benefits.

Residents who earn between $30,000 and $75,000 per year are eligible for payments of $600 to $1,100.

Connecticut has its own return to work program that began on May 30 and ends on December 31.

Eligibility depends on how long you’ve accumulated unemployment and when you applied. You must also be employed to be eligible.

Maryland handed out a check for $300 to its residents who applied for the Earned Income Tax Credit. If eligible people had a dependent, they got $500.

Michigan gave their teachers and school support staff $500 in danger money.

The Detroit school district gave $2,000 to teachers who stayed in person. Teachers who worked both in person and online were awarded an additional $2,000.

Tennessee gave full-time teachers $1,000 and part-time school employees $500 if they worked from October 1 to December 17.

Those who stay between January and March 2022 will be eligible for an additional $500. Anyone who works from January to May 2022 will receive an additional $500.

Employees hired now through December will be eligible for the second installment of the bonus.

Some Texas school districts have decided to pay their teachers bonuses ranging from $500 to $2,000, depending on the district.

Other schools chose to give their teachers pay increases.

Vermont is willing to pay up to $7,500 in moving costs to anyone who moves because of losing their job in the hospitality or construction industry.
