The payments, valued between $600 and $1,100, are sent to those who earn less than $75,000 a year.

In total, about 803,000 incentive checks worth $561 million are expected to be sent.

The latest batch contains about 3,000 direct deposits, The California Franchise Tax Board told The Sun.

Direct deposits usually show up in bank accounts within a few business days, while paper checks can take up to three weeks to arrive.

Residents living in areas with zip codes ending in 585-719 will receive their payment by post between now and December 17.

For those living in districts with zip codes ending in 720-927, the time frame is December 13 – December 31.

In total, approximately 7.3 million payments were made, worth more than $5.1 billion.

Officials expect to make about 9 million payments under the stimulus program.

Paper checks are sent based on the last three digits of your zip code on your tax return.

Californians had to file their 2020 tax returns by October 15 to qualify for the check.

Recipients must have an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $1-$75,000 and must have lived in the state for more than half of the 2020 tax year.

They must also be a resident on the date of payment.

The incentive checks cannot be claimed as a dependent by another taxpayer.

It’s possible that Californians will get another round of stimulus next year thanks to $31 billion in excess funds.

States like California are offering residents a helping hand while the likelihood of a fourth federal round of stimulus checks currently appears slim.

CASH CALLS

Calls for a cash boost are mounting amid concerns over the variant of the Omicron coronavirus.

One Twitter user said: “Omicron?!?!?! I think this calls for a new stimulus check.”

Another commented: “Omicron is leading to lockdowns. Lockdowns lead to job losses. Lost jobs lead to stimulus checks. Stimulus checks lead to more votes.”

The user shared a GIF of the Star Wars character Yoda rubbing his paws.

And a third tweeted: “I’m not ready for a new Covid variant, but I’m interested in a new stimulus check.”

Previously, three rounds of stimulus checks were distributed to eligible Americans to help with pandemic-related layoffs and stimulate the economy.

More than 500,000 Americans in Maine will receive a $285 incentive check.

The state’s Department of Administrative and Financial Services began issuing these checks on Nov. 15 and will continue to send them through the end of the year.

Republican lawmakers in Illinois have proposed a $200 stimulus check for single taxpayers earning less than $75,000. If the proposal were to become law, joint proposers earning less than $150,000 would receive $400, WCIA said.

Millions of families are expected to receive a cash boost as the latest round of child tax advances will be sent to families from December 15.

Parents with children under the age of six typically receive a monthly fee of $300 per child. The amount is $250 per child for dependents between the ages of six and 17.

But some families could pocket a larger amount because they may have applied late for tax credit advance payments.

Parents can claim up to $1800 when the tax return is filed next year.
