California officials discuss search for Kiely Rodni

Kiely Rodni’s mother has said an Amber Alert should have been issued “immediately” as the desperate search for her missing 16-year-old daughter began its sixth day.

Kiely was last seen around 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 near the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, where she was attending an allegedly alcohol-fueled gathering of more than 200 teens and young adults.

The next morning, an investigation was launched by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office after Kiely failed to show up for a walk with friends.

The case is being treated as a kidnapping because Kiely’s car is missing. More than 260 employees have searched the area on the ground and in the air, and more than 500 tips have been received from the public.

Researchers say they have no new leads, but suspect someone in the community knows more.

Kiely’s mom Lindsey Rodni-Nieman urged anyone at the party with information to come forward.

“We’re desperate for other teens to come out and share the last bits of the story that no one seems to be able to put together,” she said. The independent.


Police stop online rumors

Investigators were forced to stop false rumors circulating online, claiming that Kiely had been spotted.

Audio allegedly coming from a police scanner was posted online Thursday, reporting a possible sighting of the missing teen and her car.

Kiely’s Best Friend Says She ‘Just Wants Her Back’

Kiely’s best friend Magdalene Larson has said she “just wants her back” as the search entered its sixth day.

“I just want her to come back and be okay and just to know that she’s been loved and that we’ve all been looking for her and that we’ve all loved her through this and that,” she told KCRA3.

Ms Larson described her best friend as “such a lively person” with “so much energy”.

The two best friends met briefly at the age of nine at an art camp, but became close a few years later when their mothers became friends.

“My parents decided we were going to hang out and I would be friends with their daughter and that’s exactly what happened,” she said.

One day, when they went for a three-hour walk together, their friendship was cemented and they have been best friends ever since.


Fight at party believed unrelated to Kiely’s disappearance

It is revealed that a brawl broke out at the party at the Prosser Family Campground on the night of August 6, but officials do not believe it is related to Kiely’s disappearance.

In Thursday’s press conference, Placer County Sheriff Lieutenant Josh Barnhart mentioned the fight at the party.

While investigators don’t believe it’s linked to Kiely’s disappearance, Lt Barnhart said people recorded the fight and so investigators want to see the footage to see if there’s any clues.

Teens and young adults attending the party were urged to send the videos to law enforcement and were also told to go to a person if they were concerned about coming out with information about the missing persons case. whom they trust and give them the information to the police.

This is because officials have repeatedly urged teens to come forward, reassure them that they are not interested in research into underage drinking and just want to get Kiely home safely.


Researchers urge the public to look out for Kiely’s jewelry

Police have released photos of the jewelry Kiely Rodni appeared to be wearing at the time of her disappearance.

At a press conference on Thursday, Angela Musallam, the public information officer for the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, urged the public to contact authorities if they come across a gold chain Kiely allegedly wore on Aug. 6.

“We’re told she always wears this kind of jewelry… We want everyone who comes across it [this necklace] to please contact us immediately as this would definitely give us a new tip and a new direction,” Ms Musallam said at the press conference.

Officials have not revealed why they are tinkering with the jewelry after spending days scouring the country and waterways for signs of the teen and her missing car.


Father Kiely Rodni Collapses, Says ‘These Are Your Kids’

Daniel Rodni, the father of missing teen Kiely Rodni, became emotional when he urged community members to approach investigators with information about his daughter to come forward.

“She is no longer just our daughter. These are your children,’ he said.

Her mother described Kiely as a “funny and smart” girl who has an interest in playing music.

“She taught herself how to make chocolate cakes from scratch when she was young, and they’re actually good.”

Friend tells about last phone call before her disappearance

A friend of missing teen Kiely Rodni has spoken about the couple’s last phone call before her boyfriend disappeared from a California camping party.

Samantha Smith, 18, told The independent on Monday, she was the last person to speak to 16-year-old Kiely after midnight on Saturday.

“She called me at 12:36 pm… and this is the last call anyone has had with her. We said ‘love you, good night. Get home safely,” and that’s the last we heard from her,” Samantha said on Monday.

Kiely was at a party at the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said. Because her vehicle, a silver 2013 Honda CRV, is missing, authorities are treating the incident as a possible kidnapping.
