LAURENS, SC (WSPA) — Muffin Mam announced Monday that the company has shut down its operations in Laurens due to the impact of COVID-19.
Muffin Mam officials at the Hunter Industrial Park facility in Laurens said the decision was made because of the lingering effects of COVID-19, which impacted its ability to perform financially.
“After Muffin Mam moved into a new facility in early 2020, the initial lockdowns related to the pandemic significantly limited interaction with customers, negatively impacting new revenues,” said Muffin Mam CEO Todd Littleton. “As customer demand improved in late 2020, Muffin Mam, like most companies, experienced major disruptions in the availability of skilled labor. This continued into 2021, which prevented our company from meeting production requirements. requirements to meet new customer demand.”
The company said recent supply chain disruptions and rapid cost increases led to the decision to shut down operations.
