Social Security Office’s service problems
I would like help researching how the social services office works or needs to work.
They have lost all my paperwork as all I wanted was a name change on my social security card. They do not want to see anyone in person. They claim that the telephone lines have problems. You have to do everything online and by mail. I confirmed that I sent my application, birth certificate, driver’s license and social security card to them. They signed it. No one can find anything in the system. No one will help me.
They only sent back my birth certificate. The confirmed mail and the envelope back are confirmation of receipt.
The only thing they say is that I’m sorry it happened to you. I call daily to no avail. I have left several messages and received no response.
I need help. This is not true. There is no accountability, no follow-up and we depend on their services. I can not at all imagine what happens to the people who live on disability.
I work in the medical field and we must be held accountable. I’m sure you’ll be held accountable in the newspaper. How is it that they are not responsible? We pay for these services.
