Former President Donald Trump’s legal troubles continue to mount — not just with the FBI’s Mar-a-Lago search last month.

Multiple federal and state investigations are ongoing into the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack, his attempts to undo the 2020 presidential election, his handling of confidential documents, and his family business. Civil lawsuits accusing Trump of defamation and instigating rioters in the U.S. Capitol also remain on the roll.

Aside from the investigation into Trump’s handling of White House documents, here is a list of other notable investigations and lawsuits he faces:

January 6 and the reversal of the election: House select committee and Justice Department

The selected House committee investigating the attack on the US Capitol has found dramatic evidence of Trump’s actions before and on Jan. 6, particularly attempts to use government levers to undo the election.

The Justice Department is watching — and has its own investigation — so while there’s an open question as to whether the commission will recommend any charges before DOJ, there’s no requirement for the FBI to act if the commission makes a referral.

Elections 2020: Attempts to nullify Georgia’s results

Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis oversees a special grand jury investigating what Trump or his allies have done in their efforts to undo President Joe Biden’s victory in Georgia.

Willis, a Democrat, has informed all 16 individuals who signed an “unofficial election certificate,” which was eventually sent to the National Archives in late 2020, that they may face charges in the investigation.

Trump Organization: New York Attorney General Criminal and Civil Investigation

Trump took the Fifth this week during his statement in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ investigation into his namesake company in response to hundreds of questions.

The investigation is drawing to a close, and James’s office said it needed to question the Trump family to determine who was responsible for the financial statements that were central to the investigation. Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump were also recently impeached and did answer questions. Eric Trump was questioned in 2020 and refused to answer more than 500 questions.
