Mainland China reports 106 new local confirmed COVID-19 cases – Xinhua October 1, 2022 BEIJING, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) — Mainland China reported 106 locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, the National Health Commission said on Saturday. A total of 549 local asymptomatic carriers were newly identified. A total of 232 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday after recovering in mainland China, the committee said in its report. The total number of COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals after recovery reached 242,486 in mainland China on Friday. There were no new deaths from COVID-19 on Friday, with a total death toll of 5,226.
