Martha Stewart hopes to sweat out the pain as she recovers from surgery. On Thursday, she told fans that her yoga instructor suggested she use a heating mat that heats up to 158 degrees! flight attendant, 79, revealed she recently “ruptured” her Achilles tendon and required a three hour operation. She has to keep her left leg elevated for the next two weeks.
“There are many ways to recover from serious surgery I was told [BioMat] – by my yoga guru [Mary-Kate Murray] It is a full size heating mat with fine restorative properties,” Stewart wrote. “Perfect for tired, injured, convalescent or ill patients. The mat is heated to 158 degrees. Check it out!!!!” Stewart’s yoga guru, Mary-Kate Murray, also shared Stewart’s post, wishing the television legend a speedy recovery. “After all, she’s given us all so much! Rest [Stewart] a lot of love is coming your way today,” Murray wrote:.
On Wednesday, Stewart shocked her millions of fans when she posted a photo of her bandaged left foot. She revealed that she “torn” her Achilles heel and hoped it would heal on its own. This didn’t happen, so she had to have surgery. She praised orthopedic dr. John Kennedy Bee NYU Langone’s Health before performing the operation. It will take some time for her to recover as she will have to hold the leg elevated for two weeks and then on crutches for another two to four weeks. “Most such fractures occur while dancing or playing sports,” Stewart wrote:. “Mine was caused by an unexpected step into a hole in the dark as I got out of the car. Thank you NYU for trying to get me back to health.”
Stewart’s famous friends wished her a speedy recovery and emphasized her reach in Hollywood. “Glad to hear you are on your way to a full recovery!!! Love from your favorite fake doctor,” Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo wrote. “You’re still so sexy!!! so so so sexy,” wrote Drew Barrymore. “I have no doubt that you will get up again soon!!!” That’s what NBC News journalist Cynthia McFadden wrote. “(And in the meantime figuring out how to make something fantastic from a lying position, leaving the rest of us to learn how to do it too!)
