Missouri’s home COVID-19 test kit program ends March 31 | COVID-19

JEFFERSON CITY – After a sharp rise in demand for tests during the omicron rise in December and January, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services said it has experienced a dramatic decline in testing the last many weeks.

Residents of Missouri who do not already have one of these home PCR test kits on hand can still order one for free until March 31 by using online ordering system. The sets expire after 6 months.

Tests are not only for those who are symptomatic, but important for periodic monitoring, especially when interacting with vulnerable populations and crowds.

For those experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, testing is highly recommended, DHSS said. Those who have had significant contact with a person with confirmed COVID-19 should also consider getting tested.
