NC COVID-19 9 Nov. Update: More than 1,200 new cases, positivity rate rises to 5.9%

RALEIGH, NC (GOLVY) — The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released its latest coronavirus stats on Tuesday.

Daily COVID-19 cases in the state are up slightly with 1,243 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.

Current hospital admissions are down compared to the previous week with 1,097 patients hospitalized in North Carolina because of the virus. So far, COVID-19 has claimed 18,336 lives in North Carolina.

In total, the state has reported 1,495,521 cases since the start of the pandemic. The state’s daily positivity rate is 5.9%.

Bertie 2,502 – 52 killed
Camden 1,183 – 8 killed
Chowan 2,310 – 42 killed
Currituck 2,848 – 27 killed
Dare 3,933 – 14 kill
Hertford 2,871 – 72 killed
Pasquotank 5,379 – 105 killed
Perquimans 1,597 – 15 killed

Percentage of adult population partially vaccinated: 72%
Percentage of adult population fully vaccinated: 67%
