MONTHLY income payments worth $ 660, originally scheduled for today, have been pushed back.
City only accepted applications for a week until January 17th.
While the selected participants were scheduled to receive payments on Monday, February 28, the city encountered a few issues and had to push the payout date back.
The city told The Sun that all participants must receive scholarships at the same time.
“Some selected participants did not respond within the deadline or somehow did not meet the criteria listed,” the mayor’s office said.
Thus, the payment date has been moved back to Tuesday, March 8th.
To receive the payments, a resident of the city must be a single parent with an income of 120% below the federal poverty line.
The city defines a single parent as a mother, father, stepparent, grandparent, caregiver, or legal guardian with a school-age child.
The child must have been at least three years old and younger than 20 years from August 2021.
Also, the city said that if you are unmarried, you can not live with a partner.
