
New Bedford COVID-19 case ticks up for second week in a row
New Bedford’s COVID-19 case numbers have risen for the second week in a row. The city’s total cases per. April 21 was 33,028, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. That’s an increase of 104 cases compared to last week’s increase of 90 cases.
Dartmouth and Acushnet also saw an increase in case rates.
According to data from MDPH per. On April 21, the following cities and towns in Greater New Bedford reported the difference in new positive COVID-19 cases since the previous week’s report:
Acushnet: 12 (compared to 3 weeks before)
Dartmouth: 42 (compared to 23 the week before)
Fairhaven: 18 (compared to 21 the week before)
New Bedford: 104 (compared to 90 the week before)

According to government data per. On April 20, St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford a total of 6 confirmed COVID-19 admissions including the intensive care unit. The hospital has a total of 0 confirmed COVID-19 ICU counts. The figures show no increase compared to the previous week.
