New London County reported 444 additional COVID-19 cases this week

New cases of coronavirus broke out in Connecticut in the week ending Sunday, an increase of 31.5% as 4,758 cases were reported. The previous week had 3,618 new cases of the virus that causes COVID-19.

Connecticut ranked ninth among the states where coronavirus spread fastest per capita. the person USA TODAY network analysis of Johns Hopkins University data shows. In the past week, coronavirus cases in the United States fell by 10% compared to the week before, with 225,931 reported cases. With 1.07% of the country’s population, Connecticut had 2.11% of the country’s cases last week. Across the country, 31 states had more cases in the past week than they had in the week before.

New London County reported 444 cases and zero deaths in the past week. One week earlier, it had reported 361 cases and four deaths. During the entire pandemic, it has reported 55,412 cases and 657 deaths.

Windham County reported 106 cases and zero deaths in the past week. One week earlier, it had reported 88 cases and zero deaths. During the entire pandemic, it has reported 25,813 cases and 301 deaths.
