Norfolk Health Department offers free flu vaccines, COVID-19 testing and medical screenings

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Norfolk Department of Health will offer free flu vaccines, COVID-19 testing and medical screenings at Granby’s YMCA on Nov. 20 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition to the free vaccines, COVID-19 testing, and medical screenings, there will be free food, music, children’s giveaways, and other community resources. Gift vouchers will be given to the first 30 people to receive their flu shot.

COVID-19 vaccines will not be available at the event. To make an appointment for a vaccine against COVID-19, go to vaccinate.virginia.gov or vase.vdh.virginia.gov and enter “23502” in the zip code search bar to make an appointment at the Military Circle Mall Community Vaccination Center in Norfolk

CDC guidelines urge individuals to continue to wear a mask properly, stay at least six feet from others outside of your household, avoid poorly ventilated areas, and wash hands often.
