OHA reports falls in COVID-19 cases, deaths

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The Oregon Health Authority reported a drop in COVID cases with 289 new confirmed and suspected cases, along with a drop in deaths with 11 COVID-19-related deaths in Friday’s COVID-19 report.

That brings up the state’s total case count 701,198 and the death toll of the state to 6,971.

Across the state, there are 213 inpatients with COVID-19, a decrease of two from Thursday’s report. OHA also noted that there are 35 COVID-19 patients in intensive care, which is three more than yesterday.

According to the OHA, 3,170,505 people have had at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose, and 2,878,577 people have completed a COVID-19 vaccine series

The average of seven days is now 2,364 doses per. day.
