patriot vs. Panthers Score: Live Updates, TV Channel, Streaming Info, Foxborough Preseason Game Chances

The New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers have half the football in the books.

While this exhibit’s score is ultimately meaningless, New England came out halfway through, which was to be expected as it rolled out most of its starters—unlike Carolina. Mac Jones and the Patriots’ first-team offense started a little slow, kicking on their first two drives, but found some bushes en route to the second quarter. That’s where they put together a 10-play, 81-yard drive that culminated in a rushing score from Ty Montgomery. That was the end of the night for Jones, who finished 4-for-8 with 61 yards.

Meanwhile, the Panthers held back most of their starters, leaving PJ Walker and rookie Matt Corral to man the charge. That duo switched quarters as they battle it out for the third spot on Carolina’s opening roster of 53 men. One Panther who will be a factor in week 1 and playing Friday was Ikem Ekwonu in the first round, although it wasn’t a particularly strong show as he gave up two sacks.
