Press Secretary Jen Psaki returns to work after Covid-19

“I had planned to travel with the president about two weeks ago. I did not travel because I had members of my household who tested positive for Covid. So out of an abundance of caution I stayed at home,” she said. Friday in a White House press conference.

Psaki said she hadn’t seen the president for five days when she tested positive and that they were “wearing masks and we sat outside.” Biden got his booster shot at the end of September.

Psaki experienced mild Covid-19 symptoms, “mainly fatigue,” she said. She said “luckily” she has no lingering symptoms and was able to continue working remotely.

Psaki’s quarantine period began on November 1 and ended on Wednesday. She received a negative Covid-19 rapid test result on Thursday in accordance with White House policy, then was cleared to return to work.

“I remain incredibly grateful for the vaccine that has kept me and other people in my home safe,” she said.
