Public Library Mentor Gives Speech About Social Security Benefits – News-Herald

For those trying to decide when to receive Social Security benefits, they can explore options and learn how to make an informed decision during a free program at 5:30 p.m., Sept. 8, at Mentor Public Library’s Main Branch, 8215 Mentor Ave.

Participants can discover where Social Security stands today, how to maximize benefits, strategies to lower benefits taxes and how decisions can affect a spouse, according to a press release. The program is led by Michele Marchiano of Otium Financial Planners.
