BUFFALO, NY — The Bills have removed defensive tackle Star Lotulelei and rookie right tackle Spencer Brown from the Reserve/COVID-19 roster, giving the team two starters back en route to an important AFC East matchup against the New England Patriots .
Lotulelei was placed on the COVID-19 list on the day of Bills’ Week 10 game against the New York Jets. He has missed the last three games after opting out last season due to concerns over COVID-19 and was a key missing piece of the Bills defense. He has two sacks this season.
“It’s great to have Star back,” said Bills Defense Coordinator Leslie Frazier. “We certainly missed him.”
With Brown out in the last two games, the entire offensive line had to shift to the right, with right guard Daryl Williams playing the right tackle and Cody Ford coming in on the right hat from the second round of 2019. The lack of consistency in the offensive line has contributed to some of the Bills’ offensive problems.
“They are both healthy,” said coach Sean McDermott. “Our medical team did a great job helping them get through it. I’m happy to see them and be back in good spirits and back with their teammates.”
Guard Jon Feliciano also returned to training for the first time since being placed on the injured reserve with a calf injury on November 6. He has missed the last four games.
