San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo tests positive for COVID-19
SAN JOSE – Mayor Sam Liccardo announced Monday night that he has been tested positive for COVID-19.
“After feeling under the weather tonight, I tested positive for COVID-19,” Liccardo said in a statement. “I am grateful that my vaccination has prevented severe symptoms so far.”
Liccardo urged people to get vaccinated, wear masks indoors and use free tests to help reduce the spread and risk of serious symptoms.
COVID-19 home test can be obtained by visiting covid.gov/tests or call 800-232-0233.
