Schools in Suffolk organizing COVID-19 vaccine clinics for ages 5-11

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk Public Schools has scheduled three COVID-19 vaccine clinics this month for children ages 5 to 11.

The students can get the Pfizer vaccine, the only one approved for use in children.

The clinics are held:

  • Friday, November 19, 4-7pm at Creekside Elementary
  • Monday, November 22, 4-7pm at Mack Benn, Jr Elementary
  • Tuesday, November 23, 5-7:30 PM at Southwestern Elementary

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Vaccines may also be available for people over the age of 12.

Walk-in is welcome, but pre-registration is required. A link to register will be available the week prior to each clinic.

Children not registered at the clinic location must arrive by 4:30 PM or later to allow for afternoon discharge traffic.

Families should print a completed consent form and bring it with their child to the vaccination clinic.
