The state government distributed social security pensions across the state on Wednesday. Volunteers transferred pensions worth DKK 1,280.83 million. INR to the recipients. The volunteers knocked on the doors of the recipients to hand over the pensions. Panchayat Raj and Minister of Rural Development Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy said the government had allocated £ 1,411.42 crore to 60.50 lakh retirees this month.
As many as 60,50,650 beneficiaries would receive their pensions. The amount was deposited in accounts with secretaries of village / parish secretariats. The pensions were distributed to 54,88,109 beneficiaries in the evening. , and ₹ 1,280.83 crore worth of pensions were transferred to them.
The government also implemented an artificial intelligence-based Real Time Beneficiary Identification System (RBIS) to authenticate retirees. If both systems – biometric and RBIS – do not recognize the beneficiary, the authorized biometric for the pensioner’s family members will be taken into account.
The social security pensions are given to the elderly, widows, toddy tappers, weavers, single women, the dishermen, ART people (people living with HIV), traditional shoemakers, the disabled, transgender and dappu artists.
