St. Joseph County reported 19 additional COVID-19 cases this week

New coronavirus cases jumped in Michigan in the week ending March 20, rising 11.6% when 6,651 cases were reported. The previous week had 5,961 new cases of the virus causing COVID-19.

St. Joseph County reported 19 cases and one death in the past week. One week earlier, it had reported 24 cases and five deaths. Throughout the pandemic, it has confirmed 13,635 cases and 205 deaths.

In the past week, coronavirus cases in the United States fell by 12.9% compared to the week before, with 209,244 reported cases. With 3% of the country’s population, Michigan had 3.18% of the country’s cases. Eleven states had more cases compared to the previous week.
