NS. PAUL, Minnesota (FOX 9) – A St. Paul city councilor says she is recovering after testing positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.
In a tweet, councilor Mitra Jalali says she tested positive after some upper respiratory symptoms. She adds that she is a breakthrough case and has been vaccinated and also recently received her booster shot.
She says she is in a “much better position to fight” thanks to the vaccine [the virus].”
“The COVID vaccine is free, accessible and can save the life(s) of those you love,” Jalali wrote. “While I am not happy to be one of 7,173 new Minnesotans battling COVID, I am significantly more optimistic about my recovery because I have been vaccinated and equipped to fight the virus.”
