State COVID-19 percent positive rate lowest since June

RALEIGH, NC (WITN) – The percentage of COVID-19 tests that came back positive is at its lowest point since June, according to government data.

It says the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services 2.4% of the total COVID-19 tests on Tuesday were positive (Tuesday is the most recent day with available data).

NCDHHS data further show that 2.4% is the lowest the state’s COVID-19 positive percentage has been since June 29, when it was 1.9%.

The state’s daily COVID-19 case is at 1,223 on Thursday, down from 1,519 on Wednesday. In addition, 769 people were admitted with COVID-19 from Wednesday, down from 798 on Tuesday.

A death associated with the virus was reported on Wednesday. No one has been reported at. 13.00 Thursday.
