Switch Online’s N64 library previously received an update adding the Nintendo classic Wave Race 64, as well as bumping the application all the way to version 2.6.0.

Nintendo isn’t releasing patch notes for these specific updates, but thankfully Nintendo dataminer OatmealDome is here again to reveal everything that goes on behind the scenes. Quite a few things are happening on the back end this month – with some tweaks from last month’s release, Pokemon Puzzle League:

[NSO – Nintendo 64] Version 2.6.0 is out.
– Wave Race 64 has been added.
– The NTSC, German and PAL-French versions of Pokemon Puzzle League had their renderer settings adjusted (removed settings related to the color frame buffer).
– Adjusted sorting to place PAL versions after NTSC.

In addition, there were some changes for the N64 application in Japan. Notable are some changes to Custom Robo V2 and also the Fanta ads in Wave Race 64 are replaced by an N64 logo.

In the meantime, there were some additional changes in Japan. Notably, it appears that the Fanta ads have been removed in Wave Race 64.

Dataminer and Nintendo Life User LuigiBlood takes a closer look at:

N64 Switch Online 2.6.0:
РPokémon Puzzle League has removed the configuration and updated PCB and NRO (recompiled code). Probably a solution for something.
– Custom Robo V2 updated PCB and NRO.
– Wave Race 64 Rumble Pak (Japan) has replaced Fanta ads with the Nintendo 64 logo.

This latest update follows some changes in version 2.4.0. You can read more in our previous coverage.
