ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —Tight end Noah Fant has been activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced.
Fant can train on Wednesday.
The Broncos were given a roster release for Fant, meaning he won’t count against the 53-man roster right away.
Fant was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Nov. 2 and missed Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.
Head Coach Vic Fangio said on November 4 that Fant had been vaccinated. Under the NFL’s COVID policy, vaccinated players may only be placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list if they test positive for the virus. Fangio said Fant was feeling well and had mild symptoms.
Guard Netane Muti, who was activated with a waiver on Tuesday, is also not currently on the roster.
Following Fant’s activation, the Broncos currently have three players left on the Reserve/COVID-19 roster: QB Drew Lock, LB Justin Strnad and CB Michael Ojemudia.
