The CDC Foundation seeks to combat the hesitation of COVID-19 vaccines through the arts

The CDC Foundation encourages COVID-19 vaccinations by collaborating with arts and culture organizations.

At Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Judy Monroe, president and CEO of the CDC Foundation, host Rose Scott, said people need to hear from trusted sources and that the foundation is funding a total of 30 organizations across the country to boost vaccine trust .

According to the foundation’s website, Dad’s Garage Inc., Out of Hand Theater, and the University of Georgia are the three community-based organizations in Georgia that will receive support from the foundation.

Monroe further explained that the selected organizations should submit proposals on how they would engage and educate their audience about COVID-19 vaccines.

“The visual arts, they really matter in our culture and how we look at the world,” Monroe said.
