These clinics will only offer the Moderna booster and will take place at the city’s COVID-19 testing site on the third floor in the CambridgeSide shopping center during regular testing hours from 4pm-8pm Monday and 11am-3pm Thursday.
“Vaccination and getting your booster dose are important to keep yourself, your family and your community safe,” Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and city manager Louis A. DePasquale said in a joint statement. “We would like to thank the Cambridge Pandemic Collaborative for working so quickly to enable these clinics to provide residents with access to booster shots, and we look forward to providing more options in the coming weeks.”
Those interested in getting a booster shot can learn more and book an appointment here.
Residents are eligible for a booster if they have received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and it has been at least 6 months since your second dose. Residents who have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are also eligible if it has been at least 2 months since their first dose. As a reminder, residents can mix and match vaccines and do not need to get the same brand of vaccine for their booster as they did for their original COVID-19 vaccination.
The testing and vaccine site is located on the third floor of the CambridgeSide shopping centre. Use the escalator at the Cheesecake Factory on the CambridgeSide Place side of the mall or take the elevator to the 3rd floor. Free parking is available on the lower level of the car park and the entrance is at CambridgeSide Place.
The City and Cambridge Pandemic Collaborative is currently planning continued vaccination and booster dose clinics, and more information will be posted at www.cambridgema.gov/covid19 when available.
All residents 5 years and older are encouraged to be vaccinated and receive a booster dose, if eligible. To find a vaccine location near you, visit https://vaxfinder.mass.gov.
As a reminder, the Cambridge Public Health Department and city partners are also hosting a COVID-19 immunization clinic for the Cambridge community at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS), 459 Broadway, on Wednesday, December 15 from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
